Our law and legal consultancy team can help with all aspects of company and business law...
Our court action team provides legal representation for a variety of issues. If you need assistance with the commencement of court litigation and pre-action matters, sourcing counsel for court representations in trials, or case reviews, we are the team to call.
Whatever type of litigation or legal proceeding you are involved in, the likelihood is that you will require legal representation. Our team of court solicitors will take full details of your case and then carry out all appropriate research. Once fully armed, they will be able to provide you with preliminary advice and obtain specialist opinions from barristers if necessary.
Working as your solicitor, we will prepare your case for trial, working with a barrister if going to the high court. This way you will be in a much stronger position and have a better chance of a positive outcome. Before instructing a barrister, we will always discuss the matter with you, only recommending when deemed essential.
Bailiff services
Where you have obtained a county court judgment but the debtor fails to respond, we can supply a bailiff service. Bailiffs and high court enforcement officers can be used in all cases where a debtor has defaulted on a court judgement to pay. This may also occur in certain types of personal injury or employment tribunal claims where the high court has awarded damages but the opponent fails to pay the compensation. Bailiffs may also be used to assist with cross-border debt recovery where the debtor may not fall under the jurisdiction of the English or Welsh courts.
Very often, when county court judgments are ignored, the case can be escalated to the high court. High court enforcement officers can be used to obtain monies from both companies and individuals. They will visit the premises and if necessary, remove assets equal to the debt value.
If you find yourself in a position where a debtor is ignoring payment of monies due, it is vital to take expert legal advice quickly. Our team are used to dealing with a variety of debt recovery solutions, including the use of bailiffs. Where applicable, we will also advise on alternatives, such as the use of mediation services.
